Samantha (Sam) Fain is a poet from Indiana. Her first chapbook, Coughing Up Planets, debuted with Vegetarian Alcoholic Press in March of 2021. Her microchapbook, sad horse music, debuted with The Daily Drunk in May of 2021, and is currently being translated into Spanish by Catalina Ponce of Chile's Cicada Editora. She is the co-editor of Kiss Your Darlings: A Taylor Swift Anthology, out with Olney Magazine this summer.

Sam received her Bachelor of Arts in creative writing from Franklin College and her Master of Fine Arts in poetry from Bowling Green State University. She is a three-time Best-of-the-Net nominated poet and has also received two Pushcarts nominations. Sam's work has appeared in The Indianapolis Review, SWWIM, Utterance, 8 Poems, Non.Plus Lit, and others.

Sam loves bad jokes, pop culture, the em dash, and her friends deeply, and in no particular order. She believes every poem is a love poem. She tweets about all of these thoughts at @smnthfn.
