Samantha (Sam) Fain is a poet from Indiana. Her first chapbook, Coughing Up Planets, debuted with VA Press in March of 2021. Her microchapbook, sad horse music, debuted with The Daily Drunk in May of 2021, and is currently being translated into Spanish by Catalina Ponce of Chile's Cicada Editora. She is the co-editor of Kiss Your Darlings: A Taylor Swift Anthology, out with Olney Magazine. Her debut full-length collection, Are You There, will be published by Bad Betty Press in 2024. Sam received her Bachelor of Arts in creative writing from Franklin College and her Master of Fine Arts in poetry from Bowling Green State University. She has received fellowships from the Chautauqua Institution and the New York State Summer Writers Institute. She is a Best-of-the-Net nominated poet and has also received numerous Pushcarts nominations. Sam's work has appeared or is forthcoming in The Indianapolis Review, A Flame Called Indiana: An Anthology of Contemporary Hoosier Writing, SWWIM, Peach Mag, 8 Poems, Non.Plus Lit, and others.
